Photographer Jerry Schatzberg turned his camera to the behind-the-scenes moments of the rival houses’, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior. ”Paris 1962: Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior, the Early Collections” is a slightly different documentation look at overly dramatic scarves, backstage coughing fits, surreptitious yawns, dress-train fluffing, diffident in-between poses, eyelashes made up so thick they looked like crumpled flowers and other incidents of unguarded awkwardness.
