Last night saw the concept store of London’s newest addition to the street, Liberty Of London. They themed the Sloane Street-based boutique, which was designed by Paris-based architects Pierre Beucler and Jean-Christophe Poggioli, as English Cocktail. The crowd was wooed with champagne and white chocolate dipped strawberries, while Coco Sumner treated them with a performance of four songs! Liberty of London’s new concept store is based at 197 Sloane Street, London SW1X 9QX.
September sees the High St store launch the latest addition to their already greatly stocked shelves of premium denim brands such as MOTO, Ditto, Joe’s Jeans, My Lovely, and Radcliffe. Dover Street Market is the chosen venue for the Edition 24 line to be held, after a very well received similar set up with Chanel not long ago. Peter Philips’ premier collection as the new global creative director for Chanel makeup finally hits stores this week, and it includes a limited-edition nail polish, ‘Gold Fiction’. Carri Mundane, designer of luxury streetwear label Cassette Playa, was invited to show at Pitti Uomo in Florence recently, where she showcased her kaleidoscope vision of ’Jumpdance’. Mundane gathered fifty or so of her friends to stay with her at Villa Gamberaia, a sprawling medieval mansion in the hills overlooking the city. Carri put together a large scale live video installation based on Jumpdance which is a new dance craze sweeping over the Netherlands! Have a look at the process and product below!
The results are in for Graniph’s second anual design awards….and the winner is…..Cho Jo Tzu!! Young designers from around the world were encouraged to submit their own designs to the Japanese T-Shirt company Graniph in hope of having their work on the chests of t-shirt wearers around the globe.
