Alexandre Herchcovitch X Johnson+Johnson Band Aids

Monday, September 29, 2008

As collaborations are happening left, right and centre, heres one that doesn’t happen everyday… Johnson and Johnson teamed up with designer Alexandre Herchcovitch to create 10 different printed band aids, all of which have been previous prints within their collections, for the clumsy big kids. The box was given a re-vamp for the limited collection release and each contained five print variations all signed by Herchcovitch. Now your scrapped knees and sliced fingers can be as beautifully adorned as the rest of you.

Bless

Monday, August 18, 2008

I have just spent the last hour loosing myself in the wide open spaces of the Bless website. I have to say, there design and aesthetic is far beyond anything else out there. I love the way they portray themselves as a company and brand. They are insightful and inspiring. At the moment these guys are my favourite. In New Zealand we are in the deep midst of our winter season and as you may or may not have heard, it gets pretty damp and cold here which is why my eyes and heart are falling towards spaces with light and open warm air. I just had to share these pictures with you.

D.L. & Co. At Assin

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

We spent the last week in Sydney and Melbourne where we found some great stores, great people and great products. One of which stayed on my mind the WHOLE time and I am kicking myself I never went back! A silver skull paperweight and card holder made by design company D.L. & Co. I found it on the counter at a fantastic store in both Sydney and Melbourne called Assin. This store rules… Amazing products and clothing from only the best. They also make a sterling silver perfume holder which is in the shape of an apple cut in half and covered in thorns! Two of the coolest things I have seen in a while.. I want both! So luckily I can buy them online here.!.. Be sure to check out the rest of the candels too, they were just as beautiful.

Trove Wallpaper ‘Indie’

Sunday, May 25, 2008

A graphic tribute to film luminary Alfred Hitchcock, this wallpaper named ‘Indi’ feels like an action shot of a flock of birds in flight and conjures up visions of the great film maker’s masterpiece, The Birds. The intertwining pattern is formed by a group of blackbirds in motion, not in an orderly fashion, but randomly falling over one another, and attempting to catch up with the rest of the flock. Designed by Jee Levin and Randall Buck from the United States the wall feature was made by wallpaper experts Trove, which are definitely worth a look at!
