Anna Selezneva’s editorial for Paris Vogue by Hedi Slimane is everything that October needs….. Slick and tailored pieces that push the borders on the androgynous suiting, that hit the mainstream in the 80’s, and now again with menswear designer Hedi Slimane. The art direction and styling is modern and packed with Grace Jones attitude which you can see throughout the full editorial after the jump, and be sure to pick up a copy of Vogue Paris this month.

Heres a peek at the 26 page spread of Naomi Campbell in the latest Vmagazine. Shot by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Jane How, Campbell is adorned in the most far out shapes and art pieces of the season. Pages of Naomi on the subway in Lanvin, crossing the high line in Balenciaga, and walking down a bustling Midtown street in Viktor & Rolf, among many more… its a collectors mag for sure. On Newsstands July 15th.

Tuesday night saw the Paris week front row sitters climbing aboard a boat to celebrate 75 years of Lacoste and the release of Visionaire Magazine 54 SPORT. The first wearable issue sees Visionaire producing full-coverage, full-colour photographically printed polo shirts featuring artwork by photographers Nick Knight, Peter Lindburgh, Inez van Lamsweerde, and Vinoodh Matadin. Karl Lagerfeld and Riccardo Tisci, who previously showed hours earlier, partied the night away in the city of love. Click here to see photos on board the boat by VMagazine. I recently came across one of Alessandro’s fashion editorials in the latest edition of Ausralian Russh Magazine and was enthralled by his sensitivity to light and to the strength of the model he is shooting not the clothes. Russino has a way of blurring the lines between street-coincidental style and high fashion quality. I love it. Check out his portfolios here. Enjoy!

Model Marie Helvins’ cover for Vogue 1975 is over thirty years old but has timless-ness about it that I am aesthetically drawn to. This cover could well be the next cover to grace our shelves! Ah! The evolution of the ever rolling fashion wheel? Shot by David Bailey and Edited back then by Beatrix Miller, the issue was themed Who Wore What Where and had Prince Charles appointed ‘Best shaggy royal’ ….Well I guess some things DO change.

No matter what’s going on in the world, fashion somehow always swings back to the extremes. This season, it’s maximalism—big hair, big money, big dresses—and Argentine photographer Sebastian Faena spared no excess to shoot the finest girls of the moment in all the gilt and glam. For V53 Summer 08, Jessica Stam, Lily Donaldson, and Doutzen Kroes were flown down to Miami and dressed in the most lavish threads around. The result is a pure, unadulterated, over-the-top, so-bad-it’s-good glamour— era of the ’90s supermodels. I just love this picture!!!
