Vivienne Westwood For Melissa
Tuesday, May 27, 2008
Brazilian shoe company Melissa are collaborating their next season of shoes with the one and only eccentric English designer Vivienne Westwood. The punk prima donna has integrated her aesthetic of design with the Melissa company’s thermoplastic techniques.
“This technique guarantees perfect shapes without interweaves as we see in fabrics, if we’re talking about clothing,” Westwood says. “The most amazing thing about this partnership was to be able to create modern products, with very high quality,” says Westwood. The collaboration is expected to extend beyond heels at $190 and flats at $145 in coming months. Visit www.melissaaustralia.com.au for stockists.
