Christopher Kane’s 2010 fall collection is dark and delinquent. Reminding me of a series of goddess-like Russian Dolls that have been re-worked under Kane’s powerful eye, the result is, without too much variant, a simple way to portray lace, floral and leather. Nothing new there, but I admire how each outfit (all looking vaguely familiar) is put together, tidy and feminine. It holds elements of traditional history, sex, craftsmanship and rock n’ roll. Perfect. We’ll take that.
