Continuing on with my series of interviews with girls that I admire, this week I chat to the ever stylish and elegant, Giselle Farhat of My Chameleon.

I have always swooned over Giselle’s beautifully curated online space. A perfect mixture of designer pieces, each with their own unique quality and poetic nature. I have never actually met Giselle in person, but through her edits and selection at My Chameleon I can tell she’s my kinda girl. Someone who appreciates references, the classics, and forward-thinkers.

For Summer with My Chameleon, Giselle lets us in on her Bondi secrets, tells us where she managed to absorb a moment of pure relaxation, and how she spends her Saturday mornings….

Where in the world has your best summer memory taken place?

A summer spent in Europe or Australia conjures up memories of equal vibrancy, however, my first summer in Greece with my husband in 2011 was one of the best. We travelled through the mainland and stopped at boutique B&B’s to stay the night, extending our trip to the islands – we had very little planned.

Where did you spend your summer break this year?

Most of our summer time is spent in Bondi, where we live. For New Year’s day we made the trip down the coast to spend it with friends. In early January we also managed take a break to the Maldives. It was a holiday for pure relaxation.

– Any favorite spots that you love to spend your time around where you live? The best coffee and food? Places to swim? Good bookshops?

For a the perfect Piccolo and breakfast, I head to Chapter One – it is relaxed and cosy, and at night it becomes a wine bar with offerings of imported cheese and French pate.

Sefa Kitchen for dinner is exquisite. The food is of a Turkish and Lebanese influence and the cocktails are exceptional. Best to book in here though!

The Bondi food scene is clearly expanding and Da Orazio Pizza + Porchetta is my pick for pizza in the area.

On Saturday mornings, Bondi Food Markets is an easy choice for a quick organic breakfast and honey supplies. A morning swim at North Bondi is a ritual of ours – once Bondi gets too crowded we tend to retreat and head to Gordon’s Bay.

What does the word ‘summer’ instantly make you think of?

Freedom, ocean, and bare feet.
