We have already introduced you to the humble seventeen year old with the big voice from Berkshire, The Good Natured here, but we can now share with you our words we exchanged with her asking how she juggles her school life and her successful career as a budding musician. She is keen, motivated, (didn’t swear!), and she has a great sense of humour stashed away in there too. Check our interview out after the jump!

Hey Sarah McIntosh. Or should I say The Good Natured?

Hello! Either, which ever you prefer.

 Hows school?

School is fine thank you, as far as school goes.

Do you find it hard staying up late to gig on a school night?

I get by! It is worth it!

Whats it like growing up in Berkshire?

Berkshire is great, i am sure it is equally as good as growing up in any other county.

What is the music scene like there?

Happening.

Where would we find you on a Friday night?

At a friends house, watching films and drinking tea, and chatting lots! Or possibly out on Reading Town. It depends on my mood.

I have heard that you do a bit of Djing every now and then?  Which do you prefer?

Gigging is more exciting but DJing is fun fun!

 Favourite record to play?

Keep feeling (fascination) by The Human League

You have been compared to Kate Nash. Who would you consider yourself to be alike to?

Perhaps the Postal Service?

 Where do your inspirations lie?

Wishes, fears, hopes, desires, secrets, love.

What are you listening to at the moment?

The Talking Heads

Your lyrics are described as down to earth, do you think this has to do with your surroundings?

My lyrics are quite conversational, I don’t know, I just write what I feel, I don’t really think about it!

 What is your favourite lyric?

From a song ever? “Then we tried to name our babies, but we forgot all the names that, the names we used to know. But sometimes, we remember our bedrooms, and our parent’s bedrooms, and the bedrooms of our friends. Then we think of our parents, well whatever happened to them?” Arcade Fire Tunnels.

One thing your mother always tells you.

Stay true to yourself.

Whats coming up next for you?

I am trying to write a new EP at the moment!

Have you stuck to your New Years Resolution?

I am trying to swear less, as it is not very lady like. I think I am sticking to it! I hope I am anyway.

 Thank you !

Thank you!
