Inspired by the year 1979, the year that designer Jade Sarita Arnott was born. Many pieces in the collection have a seventies feel — dungarees, broderie anglaise tops, kimonos, loose smocks, patchwork skirts and cropped turtlenecks all reference a bygone era. It’s all the kind of stuff you wish your mum had of kept and passed down to you. The earthy colour palette of mustard, terracotta and metallic copper is distinctly seventies, too. Some garments, such as the Streep pantsuit, the Birkin dress and the Dustin trouser, are even named after style icons from this decade past.
