James Woolfin and Yvette White, who met whilst studying fashion textiles at Central Saint Martins, created a brand that explores numerous details within their clothing range by transferring those details via lifelike monochromatic prints that look like distressed photocopies, on t-shirts, vests and dresses. Trompe d’oeil takes the attention away from the shape of the garment and into the life it holds, be it in the thread that hags, or the zip slashed through a tee shirt, the garments take on a life like quality that instantly has you wanting to touch that texture or make out that pattern.
A beautiful Collection for their Spring/Summer 09 range, these two have employed a look into their work that is intelligent and surreal. Have a look at the full covered collection here at Dazed Digital., and see some close up pictures of the prints and pieces after the jump!

It is the latest range from Marjan Pejosk for is Spring/Summer 09 Collection that got me thinking, why do designers not do this sort of androgynos looking (not to mention appealing) range more often? Modeled by a male, the collection could be for both men and women with leggings, bombers, patterns and bows. This could also be due to the styling of the look book too, which you can view after the jump! I can certainly imagine myself wearing some of these pieces as I can imagine some of the guys I know too, I guess it is all in the wearers hands.

Based on the 80s’ video game Pole Position, Sandra Backlund’s Spring 09 collection is entitled Pool Position. When we think of the oh so common commentary of the blending of Fashion and Art, the best reference lies in designers such as Chalayan and Backlund who’s creations take on their conceptual form but allow for a real sense of wearability. Check out some pictures from the Swedish designers latest collection. (more…)

A couple weeks ago, we had the chance to attend a Women’s Summit for Nike Training Spring 09 at their world headquarters to see the latest in technological advancements in women’s training. . What was unveiled to us was a new series of training shoes that were developed with the female athlete in mind. And as they say at Nike, “If you have a body - you are an athlete.” (more…)

Get ready for your nearest stockist to be graced with the presence of the Autumn/Winter Collection from Therese Rawsthorne. With a beautifully shot look book against layered rocks in the harsh sunlight the collection has you feeling as if you have wandered from the circus and made your way down to the beach after an all nighter. Tule, leather, barely there prints and sheer loose blouses this season is feminine, soft, and magical. Have a look at the look book after the jump!

After their red hot year through the nineties, Chloe was determined to bring back the essential ingredients that have been lost on the last few years, and create a season that has that usual Chloe girl who would once spare no expense to get hold of Chloé’s signature sexy-girly things, trophy bags, and shoes doing just that.
Hannah MacGibbon, the 38-year-old blond British designer who assisted Phoebe Philo from 1997, created scallop-edge coats, rounded-shoulder blouses, and high-waisted flared shorts, ruffle-necklined dresses and jumpsuits with an eighties kind of gathering in the thigh area, which certainly had a spring freshness about them which was just the right ingredient. I love this collection for its femininity, is cute and naughty, and how are those shoes!
