Perhaps it is just the age I have hit, or perhaps it is the fact that women in our day and age have held back on the ‘having babies’ stepping stone to be happening much later in their lives now, resulting in the ease of conceivability to be somewhat halved. Either way, mums have become; Super Mums. To be a mother has become a very celebrated (and fashionable) thing (the Givenchy campaign, Arizona Muse in Vogue US. photographed by Peter Lindbergh etc, etc).

Being a strong and independent woman was a huge fashion through the 80’s, (cut to: the power suit dressing business women heading up major companies). Maybe it is because of the fact that we are leaving it so long before we embark on the family side of life that the idea of a powerful women running a business and a family is certainly cause for a major hats-off!

Some of my best friends have started their families, hold down successful business lives and achievements and still look like mega-babes every day. Friday Feels Like today is dedicated to the resurgence of celebrating the Super Mum. xx
