HEL YES! is an all Finnish temporary restaurant and design concept that we will be launching to correlate with the London Design Festival. To be held at Londonewcastle Depot, 1-3 Wenlock Road, London N1 on 16 September until 3 October.

A bar, restaurant and temporary bespoke space that will be presented in London for just 21-28 days, HEL YES! will act as a social hub, showcasing Finnish food and design. It will be unveiled in mid-September 2010 during the London Design Festival, leading up to the Helsinki World Design Capital 2012 programme.

HEL YES! will increase visibility for design hailing from Finland and Helsinki in the UK media whilst entering into London’s competitive design and restaurant scene, fusing the very best of the two capitals in this fascinating first time alliance.

HEL YES! will bring forward an Incredible creative team in Finland consisting of Chef Antto Melasniemi (Concept Director and Executive Chef), Art DirectorMia Wallenius (former Art Director for Stella McCartney, Gucci, Alexander McQueen amongst others), Art Director Klaus Haapiniemi (fashion illustrator for Vogue, Guardian, Penguin Books, Cacharel, Diesel, Disney, Levis, Topshop, Marimekko and Iittala), Interior designer Linda Bergroth (interior, product and set designer based in Helsinki and Paris), designer Heikki Salonen (Fashion EAST designer and one of Finland’s most renowned fashion designers) and designer Harri Koskinen (who has collaborated with Iittala, Artek)

Each and every element of the project, from food to design, is going to hail from Finland.
