Janaina Tschape Acqua Alta

Today I walked through the West Village’s gallery district, primarily on my way to see Tracey Emin and Louise Bourgeois’s collaborative exhibition (which was amazing by the way), but this exhibition inside the gallery Sikkema Jenkins & Co. caught my eye. The work, entitled Acqua Alta, was by German native artist, Janaina Tschape who now lives and works in New York City and Brazil. The photographs in particular were outstanding. My favorite (above) Acqua Alta 1, 2010. The show finishes next week so definitely stop by if you can! It’s yummy.
