New Zealand can be such a babe — the wild waters; the lost cabins and houses dotted along the coast; the honest kids with their honest jokes, and the greenest grass that wraps and rolls. I think this is the reason why I really love the work from Harriet Were. Her images capture the essence of where we’re from — not trying to portray anything we’re not, but instead, beautifully representing all of the things we love and cherish about being a Kiwi.

I’m very exited to share this new editorial, photographed by Harry Were and styled by Ophelia Mikkelson (who I can’t wait to have a surf with!), over a weekend spent in Lake Ferry and Cape Palliser. Road trips, faded lighthouses, sun-dappled rocks, friendly road-side horses, forgotten buildings, and low winter light — I’m in love.

Thanks so much Harry and Ophelia, Zara, and the girls at Scotties. x
