When the granddaughter of writer Ernest Hemingway learned that she was named for the wine, Château Margaux, which her parents were drinking the night she was conceived, she changed the original spelling from “Margot” to “Margaux” to match.

Post name change, the 70’s were a riot for Miss Hemingway – being offered the first million-dollar contract in the modeling business by Faberge, having Vogue announce her as ‘New York’s Supermodel’ in 1975, and being a regular at the socially prestigious, Studio54.

Fresh faced with eyebrows to envy and at a whopping six feet tall – Margaux Hemingway is my Monday’s Muse.
