This editorial of Natalia Vodianova in Vogue China’s latest issue caught my eye as I am recently obsessing over socks. Not sure why- probably because I forgot to pack any. Finding luxurious socks can be a bit of a nightmare. Gone are the days where we want practical school socks under our jeans. They have become like underwear- no one can see them but you knowing what they look and feel like gives you an extra little bounce in your step. And, like underwear, you want them to last, withstand the washing machine abuse and give you plenty of hole-free days of enjoyment.

Recently, with the whole roll-your-pants-up epidemic that has hit the streets, socks have become somewhat of a fashion statement in themselves. Sheer and cutesy, colorful, knee highs it is definitely these little details that are becoming important to us.

I also really love the peek of her watermelon colored bra from out of her cream ruffled dress. How cute and unexpected. And I must say- her hair is looking exceptional in these photographs! Ok- so maybe this wasn’t about socks after all!?
