A recent collaboration between Zoe Ellis and friends for her new label Chief Studio.

“We wanted it to draw out emotions of nostalgia, the serenity of memories and a dream like state, of a time that many have left behind. A more natural and honest time.”

Inspired by the strength of Zoe’s grandma, the Chief of her Pacific Island community, Chief Studio is focused on crafting beautiful modern womenswear that is grounded in ethical and sustainable design. The first collection centres around seven styles, which are vintage-inspired and created using 100% GOTS certified organic cottons, a zero water waste printing process and ethical labour – a family run factory based in Bangalore, India.

Chief is all about community and creating an accessible, inclusive dialogue surrounding sustainability.
