Travelled up north to Omaha, which sits about an hour north of Auckland, New Zealand, with a very busy Adam (insert storm here) and my wonderful friend Natalie (how good is it to see friends that you have not seen for AGES) last week. We caught a brilliant, sunny day and a wet, misty day which meant we had the best of both worlds! One day to swim, lay out, drink and eat outside (Natalie cooked us a rare beef salad on greens, mouth watering just thinking about it) and the next day to sleep in, watch movies, check out the local thrift shop (where I scored seven National Geographics for $1, thanks very sweet lady behind the counter!) and have long walks along the beach, not the romance type, more the heaps-of-sand-bugs and salty-local-dogs kind of dusk-time walks.

I love Omaha during the week, so quiet and surreal. For me, it was the calm before the storm…..

Natalie is a dancer too, can ya tell?
