They were told that the Redley show would be in ‘another part of town’ but little did the realize that this in fact meant the woods of Tijuca, a 32-square-kilometer rainforest that also happens to be the largest urban forest in the world. With a runway set out across a stretch of road that cuts through the forest greenery, the four-designer team behind Redley gave their collection a futuristic and star-wars type essence. With knit dresses, combat boots and leaf-print fabrics all set against a dense backdrop with a smoke machine enhancing the already carefully timed 11am light filtering through onto the models.
