While we were in Sydney, we happened to catch the 2008 Biennial of Sydney ‘Revolutions- Forms That Turn’. A great exhibition that saw many Australian artists showcasing their work, one of which was Rosemary Laing.

I found myself totally immersed in her series of photographs, ‘Weather‘, of tumbling women flying in a storm of shredded newspaper. The physicality of the ‘stills’ pulled you into the chaos and synchronicity of each shot. An organized mess of suspended flight, Laing had caught these beautiful moments in space which was just wonderful.

You can buy some of her prints here.
