Ryan McGinley ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’ Opening
With so much hype surrounding the new works from New York artist Ryan McGinley ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’, the show finally opened at Team Gallery last Thursday night. A mass of fans poured out onto Grand Street, hipsters, artists, skaters, guys on fixed-gears, fashionistas, all very much aware of the what they were waiting to see. The streets were alive, we people watched for a while, ‘everybody knew this is somewhere’ to be. The artist himself showed up for only a while, to show face and please the crowds, he got a few pictures then exited to Saturdays for a drink and some chill time.
The images below not only show the spectacle that surrounded the show they do get a glimpse of some of the most beautiful portrait photographs I have ever seen. Youthful, energetic, alive, potential. This show will be most definitely be remembered.
