Corey Helford Gallery is presenting “Vanity Bonfire”, a solo exhibition of new works by artist Sean Christopher. For his first solo show in Los Angeles, Christopher will unveil a world of hidden meanings, symbols, and metaphors through a series of oil paintings, sculptures and mixed mediums. Representing a year and a half long process and inspired by Chanel, “Vanity Bonfire” juxtaposes heavenly beauty against stark reality, creating a cohesive, multi-layered experience for the viewer. Things are not what they seem as candy coated veneers reveal dark subtle messages upon closer inspection. Opening Reception Saturday, April 26, 2008 from 7‑10pm. Check some of the paintings after the jump!
