Chuck Berry

“I’ve stolen every lick he ever played,” Keith Richards said upon inducting Chuck Berry as one of the first musicians in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986…

As a pioneer of Rock and Roll, Chuck Berry redefined rhythm and blues. A huge influence on any major British and American musicians we love and listen to today. John Lennon once said that “if you tried to give rock and roll another name, you might call it ‘Chuck Berry’.”

My personal pick from his extensive bunch of hits is I Want To Be Your Driver, released as the last song on The Great Twenty-Eight album, recorded in London 1965. Best enjoyed with a high ponytail and wearing a pair of shoes that are best fit for swishing…

Enjoy!
