My all time favourite ten minute jam, Marquee Moon by Television.

Formed in New York City in 1973, Television was part of the 1970s New York rock scene at CBGB, along with musical acts like the Patti Smith Group, The Ramones, Blondie and Talking Heads. The group’s debut album, Marquee Moon, is often considered one of the defining releases of the punk era. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, senior editor at Allmusic, writes that the album was “revolutionary” and composed “entirely of tense garage rocking tunes that spiral into heady intellectual territory, achieved through the group’s long, interweaving instrumental sections.” Sounds like Marquee Moon, exactly. Enjoy!
