My sister claims she is the reincarnation of Pam Courson, Jim Morrison’s wife. The lady who loved and lived with the poet, the writer, the drug-infused musical genius, and who put up with all the carry-on one lady might endure being the number-one girl of Mr Morrison himself.

I received an email from my sister right after she had been to see The Doors, Live at The Bowl ’68 film on the big screen. I thought the email was so wonderfully filled with that close-to-possessed, fan-like behavior that young girls are injected with in the close presence of Mr. Jim Morrison, that I had to publish it here. Enjoy!

“I went to see The Doors film last night The Doors– Live at The Bowl ’68. Well……. this just confirms that I was born in the wrong era.

Firstly there is a series of amazing interviews with the other band members from The Doors about the lead up to that night, they all went out for Chinese for dinner along with Mike Jagger and another couple of the Rolling Stones band members. They were saying that Pam (Jim’s wife – who I’m reincarnated as) was sitting in the front row at the concert…. on Mick’s lap the entire concert, and where else would you rather be ????!!

They also say that this was the biggest concert that they had ever done, so it was a big deal, hence why they filmed it. Jim decided, without telling anyone else, that he was going to drop acid. Through the beginning, middle and end of the concert you actually go on the acid ride with him.

For someone that is so wasted, he never misses a beat, never forgets his que, never forgets a line……. and doing all of this looking f**ing gorgeous! Dressed in these leather pants, oh, they’re so bloody hot…..breathe breathe !

The camera angles are so good, capturing the intimacy of all the little things that Jim does. His cheeky smile when you know he is about to sing the lyrics of a song that may offend some of his audience. And then sometimes smiling for no reason other that the trip he is on !

A must see!!
