Tumeric Tea by Sans [ceuticals]

Turmeric is an incredible liver detoxifier, as well as a natural antiseptic and antibacterial agent. It’s also a painkiller and helps manage weight, lifts the mood, soothes an upset stomach and prevents flu. In short, it’s a wonderful health tonic, rich in curcumin—a polyphenol that finds extensive use in both Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. It’s no wonder that in India it’s known as the ‘Holy Powder’.

To make your own Turmeric Tea you’ll need:

1 teaspoon cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick
a pinch of clove
a pinch of nutmeg
1 teaspoon fresh ginger
1 teaspoon turmeric
1–2 cups of water
raw honey to sweeten
juice of half a lemon
Stovetop Method
Simmer herbs and water together for 10 minutes.

Strain out and add raw honey, lemon and a dash of almond milk.

Blender method
Boil water in your kettle and add to blender.

Add in spices and blend until smooth and unified in colour.

Strain out tea and add almond milk and honey.
