The death of Yves Saint Laurent, aged 71, last year rocked the fashion world. Although his legacy will likely be forever evident as the source of inspiration for many designers around the world, he will also be remembered in other ways, with plans to take the story of his life to the stage. French singer Alain Chamfort and songwriter Pierre-Dominique Burgaud are working on a musical that will trace Saint Laurent’s rise from his time at Dior to his couture.
