Sometimes looking through my folders on my mac I get so swept away with other peoples ideas for composition within the home, spacial proportions and color combinations, wood, mirror, glass and metal. I get sudden urges to completely change my home around, buy lots of materials and make new furniture bits and bobs, add this, take away that. But I tend to not change my home around in a flurry, instead thinking that a home is best when it evolves with you and your functioning daily needs. Where you like to sit and snuggle up is where your books and lamps should congregate, rugs on the bedroom floor in winter make sense as does soft light beside your bed, all of these details make for an actual home. A place you love to be, a place that makes you feel as comfortable as it does inspire you. Space for yourself to be your best in, remind you of what you are working towards and where you have been.

Images from various sites and google (sorry I cannot remember, some have been in my folders for years, if you do recognize your images please email me x)
