It could be said that finding a gentle way of describing Cher’s looks these days may be of difficulty. In contrast though, her 60’s and 70’s era were pretty darn faultless – long, straight black hair, an impressive repetoire of dance moves, and lengthy pins tucked into bell-bottom jeans.

She was a songstress, a diva, a showgirl at heart, with performances that gave her the nickname, The Goddess of Pop. She sung with David Bowie on the Cher show in the same year that she was photographed by Richard Avedon for the cover of Times magazine. Plus, who can forget her in the movie Mermaids!?
