Widely considered Jones’ best studio album Nightclubbing, released in 1981, fuses reggae-orientated and disco-fueled tunes. The first song on the album Walking In The Rain (originally a 1978 song by Australian band Flash and the Pan) is probably my most favourite – I just love the start of it, it catches you straight away, absorbing you into it’s bouncy, shoulder isolation-worthy little groove.

The iconic album’s cover, by Jean-Paul Goude, features Jones posing in masculine attire, wearing an Armani jacket, sporting her trademark flattop hairdo and holding a cigarette in her mouth. Possibly one of the most iconic images of Miss Jones. She really is like nothing else.
